Capacity Development Program under BeLISAC Project on “On-Premises Server Configuration and Virtualization” has successfully completed in NREN.

NREN has successfully organized a Capacity Development Program on on-premises server configuration and virtualization as part of the Building e-Learning Infrastructure for South Asian Countries under TEIN (BeLISAC) initiative. The five-day program began on February 10th, 2023 and concluded on February 14th, 2023, with 15 participants from member institutes and interns in attendance.

The program was conducted by qualified trainers, including Belisac System/Network Engineer Binita Kusum Dhamala and expert instructors Chatur Shakya, Niraj Acharya, and Nirajan Parajuli. The trainers covered a range of topics, including virtualization and cloud computing, Proxmox as a virtualization platform, deployment of Proxmox and its features, installation and administration of on-premises video conferencing platform, and its security.

At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the capacity development program. The initiative is a positive step towards enhancing the skills and knowledge of individuals in the field of e-learning infrastructure development and will help to promote education and research in the region.
